Artist Biography
Bryan Ojeda Chevres has given performances as a solo recitalist, soloist with orchestra and as a chamber musician in Puerto Rico, the United States, Italy, Spain, Salzburg, Amsterdam and Portugal in important halls such as the Concergebouw, Mozarteum, Sala Sinfónica Pablo Casals to name a few. He has been perform with orchestras such as the Puerto Rico Symphony, CMPR Symphony, NYU Symphony, Young Artists Concert Orchestra of Puerto Rico. Bryan has worked with conductors such as Roselín Pabón, Maximiano Valdés, Alfonso Piacentini, Emmanuel Segarra, Eduardo Leandro and Francesco D’Ovidio among others.
As laureate of numerous competitions, Bryan won 1st place in the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra Symphonic Experience Concerto Competition (2018), 1st prize winner in the XXII Concerto Competition CMPR (2019) and receiver of the Evertec/Culturarte Grant, and 1st prize winner in the NYU Piano Concerto Competition 2022 with the Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini op.43 by S. Rachmaninov.
He has been invited to perform in festivals worldwide such as the Art of the Piano 2016, Festival Casals 2021-2022, International Piano Festival in Malaga among others. Performance highlights include, debut of the Young Artists Concert Orchestra of Puerto Rico in 2018 with Liszt Piano Concerto No.2 and the premiere of the Fantasy for Piano and Chamber Orchestra by Emmanuel Segarra, performance at the White House Historical Association's 60th Anniversary Gala in 2021 in the MET Museum Temple of Dendur performance with the Puerto Rico Symphony in January 2023 of Mozart Double Piano Concerto in E flat major with pianist Jose Ramos Santana.
He obtained his BM in Piano Performance in 2020 in the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music where his primary piano teachers were Maria del Carmen Gil and Teresa Acevedo. He recently completed his MM in Piano Performance in NYU Steinhardt where he studied under the tutelage of Steinway Artist Jose Ramos Santana. He currently serves as Piano Faculty in Third Street School Settlement in Manhattan, N.Y. and in Anselmo Academy of Music and Arts.
